The Benjamin Rush Society
The Benjamin Rush Society is a preeminent philanthropic society comprised of supporters who view Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital as the superior provider of physical and cognitive rehabilitation to the community and without whom our advanced level of care would not be possible.
Established in 2010 to coincide with the hospital's 40th anniversary, the Benjamin Rush Society is proudly named after Benjamin Rush, MD, pioneer in the field of occupational therapy, medical teacher, social reformer and signer of the Declaration of Independence. Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital now sits on the site originally known as the "Country Campus" of the Philadelphia-based Rush Hospital.
